Dr. Alexandra Cook joined Gauntlet Ventures with 30 years of family office leadership and consulting experience. In recent years, she was Co-Head of a billion-dollar single family office based in the U.S. and Europe that operated four venture capital funds.

Past executive roles included work supporting family offices and their operating businesses, foundations, trusts, and professional services firms by designing, re-engineering, and implementing back-office infrastructure functions: accounting & reporting, tax compliance, H/R, IT, legal, philanthropic, trustee, and other administrative services. Prior experience on the investment side included mentoring start-ups in accelerator programs, providing embedded leadership support to founders and venture capital funds, leading diligence for direct deals in a wide range of industries, and oversight of a $100 million portfolio on behalf of the government of Broward County, FL. Alexandra’s diverse background enables her to provide leadership within Gauntlet Ventures in her primary areas of expertise, while also supporting key investment acquisitions in sectors such as technology (including AI), real estate, financial services, transportation/logistics, and health care/life sciences.  

Dr. Cook belongs to several family office groups and is a sought-after speaker at family office investing conferences nationally.  A published researcher, she has been a professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University for 26 years, offering audit, tax, non-profit accounting, cost accounting, and other content to MBA and Master of Accountancy students.  Alexandra earned a B.A. in accounting Summa Cum Laude from Palm Beach Atlantic University, from which she also earned a B.S. in management and MBA.  She has a Doctor of Business Administration in Accounting from Nova Southeastern University and is the holder of a Florida CPA license and numerous other professional credentials.  

When not involved in professional endeavors, Alexandra composes music. She is a contract athletic coach for the U.S. Archery Team and U.S. Air Force, working with para/adaptive athletes at international competitions.
